About Mrs. Mayfield:
My Name is Julie Mayfield. I have 3 children-2 daughters, Macy and Meagan; and 1 son, Dustin. I also have one precious grandson, Noah. My husband is the principal of Crosstimbers Academy. I have taught Art in the Junior High level for several years, and this is my first year at the High School level. Art is my passion- so I really love letting kids experience all different kinds of art. Seeing the surprise and excitement when they find out that they are really good at something they didn't even know that they could do, brings joy to my heart. Personally I love to paint whether its faux painting walls, furniture, old wood signs or canvases. I also enjoy creating Hooked rugs using antique techniques. I hand dye wool, cut into strips and hook it into a backing creating various designs.
