"Fences": A Holocaust Project Documentary- Trailer
In the journey to understand the Holocaust, even good students fall prey to the inevitable result of time: lack of sympathy. The pictures they are shown, the stories they hear, the films they watch, even the eyewitness accounts: all are just echoes, fuzzy black and white snapshots like every other in the textbook, showing foreign people from foreign times. There is no empathy. No one who was not there could ever truly know what it was like to stand in a place like Aushwitz or Dachau. But what if students could glimpse a fraction of a fraction of that world? This project was designed to teach twenty three volunteers sympathy for those they had seen only in pictures. This is their story.
The brainchild of English teacher Terri Strickler, Crosstimberslot is an annual medieval-themed festival of thanksgiving. The senior candidates are knighted, wicked villains kidnap beautiful princesses, a grand feast is served and medieval activities are enjoyed by all along the midway. Crosstimbers Academy and SapereAude Pictures presents their film release for 2010: TWISTED. Chris Marlowe is going to be held back another year unless he can learn how to understand Shakespeare in a hurry...but he has bigger problems. The characters of Shakespeare's plays have drawn Chris into the Wood in an effort to save their world against the villainous Dark Lady. With plays colliding, plot-lines merging, and characters going mad, everything depends on one American youth's understanding of the Bard.
